You know man, I’m not trying to be mean, but the truth is, you really need to make different software. Although, I will admit, not many RadicalCodex clones exist, but really if you want to try to make it as an independent developer, you have to make software that applies to the intended consumer. Linux users just aren’t looking to buy comic related software. Look at the existing Linux world, what would make it better? Code that! The market share linux holds just isn’t big enough for these little, specific, apps you are selling. I have nothing against paying for software, and as much as I’d like to support your work, you just don’t have anything for me, or most linux people.

Heya Abe. I actually disagree quite a lot.
The market share held by desktop Linux should be large enough to support a thriving niche software ecosystem.
When Mac and Amiga market share were both -significantly- smaller than what Linux desktop is at right now… they were both able to support a large, indie software scene.
Of course, I don’t expect Comic book related software to fly off the shelves like, say, a large casual game or a something. But, just the same, these are applications that -I- want to have on my desktop. And, being as nobody else has been making them to my satisfaction, I filled that void.
That’s not to say I won’t release any software in the future that would be a bit more popular… but these are apps that I wanted for myself, and I know many other people have been using and enjoying them as well.
To sum up: I’m not going to become a multi-millionaire by making software that helps us read comics. But at least we’ll be able to read comics better.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t make these products, but in my experience, perhaps more general applications would be a stronger base for a company, and these little apps which you want could be just side projects for the company.
As a side note, I just tried downloading the unregistered version of RadicalCodex (as I just realized it would work quite well for organizing my O’reilly books pdfs), and it doesn’t seem to work very well, or at all. Do you have a bug tracker setup? Because I have quite the important bug to report.
