Reading a comic is great.
Making a comic? Even better.
I am pleased to announce the immediate availability of Radical Comic Designer 2.0 for Linux and Windows.
For the uninitiated: Just what is Radical Comic Designer?
Radical Comic Designer is a super easy to use application that lets you take any pictures you have laying around and, quickly, create your own Comic Strips or even full Comic Books.
Here’s a quick run-down on what’s new in 2.0:
- For the Windows version: Full Windows 7 support.
Refreshed look and feel (including a new application icon).- Improved rendering of some of the objects (including cleaner Speech Bubble lines).
- Additional contextual (right click) menu’s to make working with your comics easier.
- A new Help system with a tutorial on how to get the most out of Radical Comic Designer.
- An updated toolbar.
- Bug fixes, bug fixes, bug fixes!
The mantra for this release was simple: “Make it look nicer and run better.” And I am pleased with the result.
And, of course, this is a free upgrade for all registered Radical Comic Designer users.
If you haven’t picked up a copy for yourself yet, you can do so over at the Radical Breeze Online Store for $10.
Only 10 bucks. Think about that. Even if you only make 5 little comic strips… the total cost per comic is already down to 2 dollars. This is what I call a good “Dollar to Comic ratio”.
And, for those who may not be aware, there is also Radical Comic Designer… for Windows Mobile. So you can get your Comic-designing done while you are out on the town.
Plus: If you buy a license for Radical Comic Designer… you can use it on any supported platform. Windows. Linux. Windows Mobile. One license covers them all.
