Love reading digital comic books and eBooks?
Been waiting, at the edge of your seat, for a new release of RadicalCodex — Which, as it so happens, helps you organize and read comics and eBooks?
Wait no longer, my friends. Wait. No. Longer.
RadicalCodex version 1.5 for Windows and Linux is now available for download!
What’s new in version 1.5, you ask? Why, I’ll tell you!
The number one new features is…
No more import window.
That’s right. That annoying window that would pop up whenever you were adding a folder full of comics to RadicalCodex (you know, that ugly one that none of us liked)… it’s gone. Replaced by a tiny, little progress bar on the main RadicalCodex window itself.
Yep. You can now drag and drop a huge folder full of books onto RadicalCodex… and it will begin importing them in the background. And, all the while, you can keep on reading that comic you were trying to finish up.

Some other new tidbits in 1.5:
- Full support for Windows 7.
- Fixed a problem which could cause crashes in the preferences dialog on Windows.
- Now properly sets “Page as background” on more Linux distros.
- Speed improvements.
This new version of RadicalCodex is, of course, a free update for all existing users.
If, for some crazy reason, you haven’t already picked up a copy for yourself, head on over to the Radical Breeze Store and snag a license.
It’s only $10. And, in addition to giving you a great comic/ebook reader (and helping further its development), you will be providing another round of fast food for a starving developer. And that just makes everyone feel warm and squishy inside.

Sorry, this is a bit off-topic, but I have a question:
Where did you get your GP2X? I want to order a gp2x / wiz for my son, but am having a hard time finding one. So far I have found PlayAsia.com and gp2x.com, but I’m unfamiliar with those sites.

segfaults with SELinux

JohnR: Yeah, SELinux is a royal pain. You can configure SELinux to allow apps like RadicalCodex to work properly. But there’s not much I can do there (though I should detect it and alert you gracefully that it won’t work with most default SELinux configs).
