It’s been a long month. Hell. It’s been a long several months. But January… well, January really kicked my butt.
But that’s a long story that maybe I’ll go into later.
For the moment I just wanted to drop a line here and say “Hey all! I’m still here!”.
And also to say that RadicalComic, my Linux-only Comic Book Reader (and organizer… and more…), is going to be released in beta form in a few days time.
Why beta? Because the 64bit version is not yet ready. And I just don’t feel like it’s a full 1.0 final release until it has full 64bit support.
I’m shooting for rolling it out by Saturday. So, before the week is out, everyone (who reads digital comics) will be able to take it for a spin.
And now… back to work!

Way to go, Bryan! Looking forward to trying it out.

Cool. Sadly I am no longer on Linux, so I won’t be able to use it.

Good to hear you’re back. I hope everything works out for you professionally.
Also, any chance of a PowerPC build? Nah, didn’t think so.

Do you do also do the graphic design for your application(s)? That that comic-binder-thingy icon looks great, and I’m sad to say that it doesn’t look like it’s been made in Linux. What software do you use?

Ben: No PPC build. The beta release is going to be x86 32bit only.
Tommy: Nah, I hire the graphic design work done. I don’t have the artistic chops to pull of the look of the icons that will be shipping with 1.0. No clue what software is used… but it’s a fair bet it was something from Adobe.
