Yesterday I rolled out the first set of Fedora and OpenSuse packages for RadicalCodex. And doing so was incredibly easy. It was, literally, a 3 minute process. Tops.
All this is thanks to the invaluable assistance of Jason Smith, who provides a consulting service for exactly this sort of thing.
Thanks to him I’ve now got a simple script that I can run that will auto-build the packages (properly, at that) for any of the given distros RadicalCodex supports. Pretty freaking rad.
On an unrelated side-note: he also posted instructions on building MonoDevelop on CentOS and Fedora this last year (which is still pretty relevant even with MonoDevelop 2.0 on the way). In the vernacular of our time: This guy is pimp.
