RadicalCodex 1.0 Beta 3 is out!
This is the moment where RadicalCodex becomes much more than a comic book reader.
You can now read and organize Comic Books as well as eBooks (.txt and .pdf).
And, what’s more, you can sync those eBooks to an eBook reader device (such as the Kindle)!
Of course… only on Linux.
Head over to the RadicalCodex page and grab this release.
What’s new in Beta 3, you ask? Why, I’ll tell you!
- Can now add .txt and .pdf files to RadicalCodex!
- New preferences for the look and feel of eBook reading.
- Can now easily sync eBooks (drag and drop!) to Amazon Kindle and Sony PRS-505 eBook readers! (This includes exporting PDF files directly to the Kindle!)
- Can now set a custom cover image for any book.
- Bug fixes (thanks to those who wrote in with info!).
- A bunch of other wonderful little tidbits!
Of course I’m not done! Here’s what I’m working on for the next release:
- The ability to sync Comic Books directly to an eBook reader device (Yep. You read that right.).
- Grabbing cover images directly from Amazon.com.
- Additional eBook format support.
Full support for non-Ubuntu/Debian Linux distros is underway. As additional packages become available I will post that information here.
And, in case you didn’t know, you can purchase a copy of RadicalCodex at the online store for $15 (USD). After the beta cycle is over this price will rise to $25. Just a nice little discount for everyone helping to provide feedback on RadicalCodex during beta.
